Privacy notice
House of Bread Corner runs this website. This notice says what we collect when you use it, why, and what you can ask of us.
What we collect
- When you order a cake: your name, phone number, the date, and the cake, message and design you describe.
- When you ask about wholesale: your name, the business, phone number, place and what you need.
- When you pay by M-Pesa: Safaricom tells us whether the payment went through, the amount and the M-Pesa receipt number. We never see your M-Pesa PIN.
Why
Only to do what you asked: prepare and hand over or deliver your order, take the payment, call you if something about the order changes, confirm a booking or answer an enquiry. We do not sell your details or use them for advertising.
Who sees them
- Our staff who handle your order, booking or enquiry.
- Safaricom, to send the M-Pesa prompt to your phone.
Cookies and this phone
We use only what the site needs to work: a session cookie that protects the forms, and nothing more. No advertising or tracking cookies. If you switch the site to dark, that choice is kept on your phone.
How long we keep them
Order and payment records are kept as long as tax and accounting rules require. Bookings and enquiries are kept as long as they are useful to serve you, then removed or made anonymous.
Your rights
You may ask to see the details we hold about you, to correct them, or to have them deleted where the law allows. Ask us using the contacts below. If you are not satisfied, you may complain to the Office of the Data Protection Commissioner.
